Re: Toy Story 4-4-0
I have the Lego version, does that help?

I looked at one on Ebay long ago. The only thing I remember about it was that it had 19mm driving wheels.

Lego trains. now there's a good idea
19mm wheels, I'm just wondering if they could be used elsewhere, I know there's a fella on e-bay, whose turning out those small NBR D51 4-4-0T, made from those Toy Story 4-4-0's, I was thinking about a NLR 4-4-0T that were used out of Broad St, and run over the GN suburban lines...............just a thought

Re: Toy Story 4-4-0
I feel a much better starting point for the NLR 4-4-0 now offers from RTR. The Radial tank that has recently garnered two RTR models was one of William Adams later designs, and there is enough relationship to the NLR 4-4-0 layout that was one of his earlier efforts to be useful. I'd want to measure which model has its driving wheel tyres most underscale to better represent the 5'5" of the NLR 4-4-0: the 8'6" driven wheelbase we just have to live with if determined on using a RTR mechanism. I wouldn't be at all surprised if one could remodel much of the Radial's body as the basis of the 4-4-0, which usefully has much larger side tanks.

I've had a close look at this one, and I'm sure it's made out of a Toy Story 4-4-0. here's the link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LNER-D51-ex-N ... SwhOdXo01-
if not, go onto E-Bay '00' section and enter D51.
With the NLR loco, don't really want to cut up a 100 pound loco, 15/20 pound for a project, is more my mark.

Ah, but there'll be someone(s) getting bored of their Radial(s) any second now. "He's got a short little span of attention" as so well observed by Paul Simon.
