I have a renamed/numbered A1/3 4476/Royal Lancer which I'd like to have pulling a LNER (not BR) era Flying Scotsman Express. Out of the many photos I have looked at I've been unable to find one as evidence that Royal Lancer may have done this. Can anybody advise please (and the tender on my loco is a Corridor style).
Many thanks.

Re: 4476/Royal Lancer - Flying Scotsman Express
RCTS 'green books' vol 2A photo fig.16 shows 4476 on the up 'Flying Scotsman' at Croft Spa in May 1932 no headboard though. Although not photographic evidence, the cover of 'LNER STEAM' by O.S.Nock uses a paining by Jack Hill of 4476 with 'Flying Scotsman' headboard. Both appear to have corridor tender attached.

Lancer had a Corridor tender 1928 to 1937.

Thanks Phil and mickb - have RCTS books so know the Royal Lancer photo without the headboard you refer to and your replies good enough for me to assume 4476 did haul FS with the Express name headboard.
