Model of Unknown Prototype & Origin

Post by dave_hill »

I purchased an O gauge model some time ago on eBay. It was listed as an LNER horsebox but appears to be a 4-wheel passenger brake/luggage van. It is painted in LNER passenger brown livery and numbered 67129 which suggests to me that it is of GER origin. It has 2 large doors and a single small rear window on each side and 4 windows in the rear end. It has an arched roof with 6 torpedo ventilators and 3 lamp housings. It measures 170mm over the buffers (approx 24' 3"). It is of plastic moulded construction with a wooden floor and what appears to be a cast metal underframe and Mansell type wheels. Possibly built from a kit of unknown origin.

Can anybody please add any information as to the prototype and the origins of the kit.

Please see attached photos.
