Many thanks for last couple of postings (jwealleans and billbedford). Have mixed up some pale cream, added some black oxide (same as I use for colouring ballast in my coal mine yard and goods yards), diluted slightly with thinners and voila, the result was great on the first coach done. On the remaining 7 coaches (and for the slight difference in roof colours - an excellent suggestion) I will add a little more cream for next 3/4 (as first one done is possibly at the darker end of the range) and then a little more for the rest. But one problem, where does my wife hide her talc?
