Seems Rapido are further advanced with the J70 than Oxford Rail with the N7! Perhaps we could run a book on arrival dates? Doesn't sound as though Santa will have anything in his sack for Swedy modellers this year, unlike last year. Ah well, can't win them all - with j15, D16/3 and B12/3 we have been well served by Hornby, but oh for a J67/69....

It's a remarkable omission from RTR isn't it? Hopefully what with the specimen in the NRM they will get around to it eventually...

There's still a rumour circulating, including in the trade, that Hornby were/are also going to produce an N7 but Oxford Rail announced theirs and Hornby won't leak anything before the annual announcement. It's fairly certain that any Hornby model would be better than one from Oxford Rail, but not as cheap.

I read today that the North Norfolk Railway is to get the Gresley Society's N2 for a couple of years - whilst I'm definitely a GE man the possibility of a boxed set comprising an N2 and a Quad Art in GN or LNER livery will please many - always provided its not the poor imitation teak finish used on the last Hornby production batch of LNER carriages.

Maybe the stumbling block is the myriad of variations seen on the Buckjumpers.. :|
