Photographing scale models

Post by Nova »

one hobby that is separate to scale modelling but often plays a part in documenting our work is photography, you just need to look at most of the threads on this sub-forum to see pictures taken by users displaying some in progress or recently completed project.

But like any hobby there is always something to be learned, so I thought I'd share this series by a professional modeller going through the different aspects and variables to take into account when photographing you prized project. hopefully some of the information described will be of use.

Way up!

More important is to know your equipment and it's limitations.

I have some good pics from basic compact and a bridge cameras and each has its place. Vids I take with my Nikon bridge, stills mainly with my Canon SLR but to get really close sometimes the compacts are just as good. Experiment and play.

Remember film is cheap with digital......
If I ain't here, I'm in Bilston, scoffing decent chips at last!!!!
