Ay up!
Try the Comet website, that gives the approximate number ranges.

Would that be Bilston near Wolverhampton? Sounds like a detour on trip north in August might well be called for! Any chippie in particular? (And is 'ay oop' normal West Midlands vernacular?)

If you want a physical book, this work by Michael Harris has all the information, but laid out by year. It will be the easiest to find, though. This book, which seems to be the one currently hardest to find, is easiest to use as it's all grouped by diagram.

There's also the reference works by the late Chris Bishop but I'm not sure what state they are in publication-wise at present since the LNER Society no longer appears to issue publications lists. They are (were?) in a number of volumes by carriage types as per the revised (1943) numbering system, with additional volumes for the ECJS.
More important is to know at what date you are renumbering - pre-1943 renumbering (which took several years to complete) was essentially by Area/Section allocation whilst post-1943 was in blocks of sequential numbers. If you are looking for the latter then all you theoretically need are the number ranges, but generally taking pot luck as to which were allocated exactly where.
Data sheets for certain non-vestibuled types that Hornby produced can be found here: https://www.lner.info/stock/carriages/local.php - the same could I believe be fairly readily done for specific Diagrams.

The Chris Bishop Monographs, seven volumes, are available from the LNER Society, but in digital disc form only.

65447 you are correct. The new list has been on the site only about a week.
I do not know if this will be mentioned in the next Newsletter!
