Has anyone had any experience of these 3D printed models..? Just looking at the NER Petrol Railcar body for example, £66.88 is a lot of money compared to the etches from Worsley Works at £30.

My personal opinion is that I wouldn't touch anything in WSF (White strong and flexible) where you would expect to see detail (such as the vertical boarding) as the surface texture is very rough and not all detail gets printed. It doesn't take glues such as superglue only epoxy. It's fine for things like chassis or under gubbins but not bodywork.
The finish you want is FUD or FXD (Frosted Ultra Detail) this is a much better finish and easier to work with.
FUD isn't cheap but the WSF railcar is somewhat overpriced (you have to add tax and shipping)

Much more relevant is the new stuff from Mike Trice - https://www.shapeways.com/product/FWN3F ... arketplace. Mike's aim is to provide kits for the coaches which ran behind the Stirling single for the ?1938 bash. There's a link from that page to more details, including construction, on the big forum (which seems to be down at the moment).
