Was that scanned GA any use in the end?

Certainly was. Or should I say 'is', as I was referring to it not two nights ago.
Don't want to get folks too excited but there has been a burst of activity on the B7 test build...

Well, the silver lining of the Coronavirus lockdown is …
Pretty much done as much as I need to in terms of proving the test build.
Although I will carry on and finish the loco so as we can see what it looks like fully complete.
What's more …
The Caprotti (B3/2) test build is also at the same stage. Needs some amendments but otherwise has a surprising presence about it (well, I think so!)
Only downside is that the etching company has pulled the shutters down in the current climate so there is currently an indefinite delay (although hopefully not too long) before we move on to the next stage.

They look excellent. The B3/2 lacks the elegance of the original, but it does as you say have a chunky presence, particularly before they started cutting holes in, and leaving the covers off, the camboxes.

Graham both the B7 and the Caprotti B3 look great. I still haven't started my B3 yet as I'm still building stuff for my friends new exhibition layout. At the moment I'm actually building some GN somersault signals for it! A first for me. Then I need to build a signal box! And then I have to complete the goods rolling stock for it, followed by a D3. After that I've got some part built coaches to finish then maybe I can start Lord Faringdon! So it will be much later in the year probably.
Stay safe.

Two for the price of one. You have been busy!
I didn't know you were allowed to take railway modelling into that room.......
Any "wee snags" identified so far?
