Re: Middle Shields
I will have to consider how to handle the overhead wires and of course the third rail used in the tunnel.
The layout is huge and progress is low now I have been sidetracked building coach kits, but I can run trains through the whole system.
Progress on the Quint set continues here are a few more photos, if there is interest I will continue to post layout pics.

Re: Middle Shields
Many thanks Geoff- keep us/me posted on any progress with what you may do on the overhead wiring. It would be interesting to hear from anyone else who may have tackled this themselves (and would 'kickstart' me into getting my EB1 kit under way).

I'd be very interested in seeing more pictures of your layout. Wonderful allotments!

G'Day Gents
Good looking layout, Mike's Models, used to do a long Goose necked water crane, but that was many years back now, I wonder if anyone took over the range ?

Holt Model Railways do some Mikes Models stuff. I know that the NER water crane is still available; not sure about LNER ones though

Re: Middle Shields
My latest attempt at LNER coaches a Gresley triplet Restaurant set almost completed from a Kirk kit.
Now for the Coronation set

Re: Middle Shields
Hi Baron,
The Restaurant Triplet set looks good. I have a Comet set that was part built, so just had to finish the interior and roof detail. Also have a Kirk Kit, but it is only the body, so I have enough for the bogies and will have to check if I have enough spares for the interior. I am thinking I may paint this BR maroon as the Comet set is LNER Teak. How's the Coronation set coming long. I am building a set myself, but have stalled a bit due to busy work load and finding out interior colors and details. I plan to add seated figures and see if they will fit in the seats with the arm rests added.

Re: Middle Shields
A little more progress, the Coronation set which looks OK from normal viewing distance and Bugatti nose P2 which I am happy with but too chicken to fit the correct valve gear.
