Thanks Stevie. Not really LNER, but physically very close! The upper works are nearing completion, will start soon on the heavy engineering for the lift.

It’s a misty morning at York Road tube station, not many people about yet, and the sun is yet to burn through. Maybe the smoke from KX Goods hasn’t helped. Clifford’s fruit, veg and groceries is already open for business though.

After nearly six months solid work, the YR station is now complete above ground, and has a passing resemblance to the prototype.

The open areas at the back now have polycarbonate covers to protect against little fingers. Next job, on this project, will be making the stair, lift and ventilation shafts.

Valour has now gone through Ian Rathbone’s paint shop and final re-assembly with a bit of weathering.  Ian has made an outstanding job of the lining.  It will be good to see the engine in service at the head of a 1923 Pullman train on CF.

A real delight - and something of a change to see a pre-group model in non-pristine finish.
