New 4mm Coronation Set imminent.

Post by mick b »

I have just had a price lists from the owner of Stevenson Coaches/Millholme Models, Paul Barker.

He is planning a 9 Coach set of the LNER Coronation set for Summer of this year , no prices on the listing.

Good news for those waiting for the old MailCoach version to reappear...

Anything weird or unusual will catch my interest, be it an express or locomotive

I'm also drawn to the commemorative, let's hope Bachmann will produce 6165 Valour.

Good morning all from sunny Surrey

That's good news, as the Mailcoach set fetches high prices on a certain auction site..

It will probably be easier to paint than the clear sides of the Mailcoach set

I hope it will be available with or without the observation car, to enable the West Riding set to be constructed.

I have asked the owner to let m know when the kits are available. When I hear anything I will post on here. The list he has sent me , doesn't give a price or other options re buying single items. I suggest you contact him.

As to Mailcoach, horrid kits with equably bad mouldings and a nightmare to paint !!! . IMHO.

That's probably why they're such hot property. People like the misery.

Trying again with the mailcoach kits at the moment. They are a pain alright. While I am determined to get a decent result I don't think re-issuing these kits would be worthwhile today. I managed to get them fairly cheap but was quite lucky.
