LNER Dia 11 17ton hopper wagons

Post by FiftFourA »

I am new to this Forum.

Can anyone help me locate a drawing of the LNER 17 ton wooden bodied coal hopper, I think it was diagram 11, but I am not certain of that. They were a development of the NER 13 ton hopper but were very similar in appearance to the more well known 20 ton hopper produced by Slaters in both 4mm and 7mm scales.

I am hoping to build some in EM gauge but the scale of the drawing is not important as long as it has accurate dimensions.

Thanks - Peter

What about the latest volume of Peter Tatlow's LNER wagon book, I think it is Vol 4a I saw at the weekend
which covers open wagons and hoppers designed and made by LNER.

Many of the vehicles in Peter's books have a line drawing which is probably all that is available.

Someone was at one time working on a 3D print of that wagon for a layout project which has since gone by the board. I'll ask about.
