Dave,
Do you think the double-cables might be required for the Triplet dynamos? Therefore perhaps not on a Tourist Twin?

Re: Vernon's Workbench
John, you may be right, I posted it because it shows some connections
on an articulated carriage, and may be something like it was used on the tourist stock.

Probably does not help but this is the artic sleeping car section at the NRM some 30 odd years ago:

Hi Dave,
Thanks a lot for that. It's interesting that the 2 boxes are at different heights on the vehicle end. I guess the question now is which vehicle had which height connection box!
Thanks again.

Vernon

Hi Mike,
Thanks for posting that. In this case there is no sign of any boxes being mounted on the inner end. In which case did these vehicles have lighting jumyers under the headstock?
Thanks again.

Re: Vernon's Workbench
Hello again! When I started this thread I mentioned my posts might be fairly irregular. Well, I got totally sidetracked and built (well, it's in primer) a 4mm scale 4EPB by cut'n'shut attack on Replica Mk1 carriages.
However, back in the real world, this is my latest effort off the workbench, the undeframe and bogies for a GNR D96 Brake First. They are from RDEB re-working of incomplete and partially lost Kemilway artwork. Very nice but very complicated! Ready for the blasting cabinet then the bogies need brake gear and final detailing before painting.
Cheers, Vernon

Looks nice and exceptionally well detailed. I have one of these to build. What period are you modelling? I note you've used Fox bogies.

His Andrew,
I'm building it in original condition. My interest here is pre -WW1, although 1470 Great Northern will get a go too!
