G'Day Gents

Checked out the local hardware shop, only 'Bakers' flux on sale, suppose it's what the farmers will need to fix their tractors and combines, so no Joy there.

I'm using a SN63, tin lead solder, 0.56 diameter, and this is on the label 'Type 381 flux'. 250 gram. So I'm wondering if there is a flux in the solder, I haven't tried to solder without flux ??

A quick check suggests that that product does indeed include flux, so maybe that is the problem.

Next time I do a bit of soldering I'll try it without the flux and see how I get on, let you know.
