GNR Coach buffers

Post by UpDistant »

Evening All

I'm currently building a batch of 4mm coaches including a couple of ex-GNR 58'1" (D121 and D183). These are etches only from the late John Fozard.

Does anyone know of a source of buffers suitable for these coaches? The heads are of the "race-track" pattern i.e. oval but with parallel top and bottom edges.

All info welcome.

I've used the LYR ones on the list Mick links to in the past. They come with a separate oval head which you attach to the sprung buffer, so you can file it to shape first.

I acquired a set of 3 carriages including the two diagrams you have, which John himself had built. He fitted sprung round buffers.

Thanks Gents

I think I'll go with the LYR ones.

Thanks again.
