Latest build a very old Nucast LNER ex NER G6/BTP ,it came with a "chemically enginnered" chassis as per the box description . Sadly they succeded in making it longer than the body, the etched splashers however were very well done and a good fit .

It also suffered from the whitemetal Cab Front and Rear and Cab floor being to wide as well !!. Beaten into submission after a valiant fight. Powered by a excellent N Drive 1015 motor and a High level Compact + gearbox which just fitted out of sight.

Excellent. Thank you for posting.
I've been wanting to make one of those for ages.
Please may I ask the provenance of the driving trailers?

Nice to see a vintage loco Mick. Is it currently just a touch saggy at the rear, or am I seeing a strange combination of perspective and "not quite level" coupling rod position in one of the pictures?

I agree GK, it looks like the tail is hanging down. In one of the pictures, No 3 it looks
like the trailing wheel of the bogie is off the rails, but, and also the coupling rods
look slightly curved.

However, the paintwork and finish looks good, let's hope we are not correct.

Yes and no to the above comments.
The rear was sitting down a couple of mm . Track tested after the photos, and the front drivers were spinning as a result. That was using the Nucast rear design , of a spacer only between the chassis and the bogie, which I did think was a daft idea and proved to be useless .
I have now added a spring to the rear and removed the spacer. That has thrown the body weight forward onto the drivers. Awaits further testing in due course.
The Rods are fine , it actually ran first time without any adjustments needed on the rods, which was very surprising even for a 0-4-4 chassis.

The Clerestory is the truly awful nightmare to build Langley model. The Elliptical Roof is the D&S Version, miles better in all departments.

Lovely looking loco Mick, very unusual and a pleasure to see it. Might try and find one to build...

No idea what is wrong on this forum., as yet again it is saying files are too large, on new photos. The last photos I posted in this thread ,were on the same camera and settings as the attempts made today.

My photos from now on, will be be viewable here.

I have managed to reduce a file !!

Little Engines A7 kit .
This was bought via ebay and on reciept via Hermes was a total wreck, it looked like Hermes played footbal with it. After a full refund from the seller I decided to rebuild. It had a XO4 type motor fitted to a old Triang Scotsman chassis . The cylinders were screwed to the body with one screw.

A new chassis was made and repairs and much needed new detail added to the body.

Looking a bit better now..

Persistence pays off! Tidy result.

I do like the look of an A7. Should the bogie be further forward?

Steady on, Mick - after all your good work!

Seriously, though, how well is the Old Dog performing on points & other curves? There's not a lot of space for bogie swing behind the cylinders, as we know.
