Hornby 9F

Post by daveinstoke »

As you are aware the Hornby 9F was reworkrd a few years back, & at the same time was featured in one of the modeling mags etc. That particular article mentiond a super detailing kit , which included a white metal Tender body plus a lot more.Has any one got the details & supplier for this kit ?
Regards
Dave.

Hi Dave.
I don't know if it is the one you refer to, but Comet Models make parts for the 9F which appear to include a whitemetal tender.

You can find them at www.cometmodels.co.uk

I think it may have been a Crownline kit but I have no idea how to get one. However, unless you really want an EM or S4 chassis from Comet, it may be better to trade in your 9F for the new Bachman one due out shortly and the money that you will probably save could be spent on something more unusual.
