Biggleswade

Post by alangdance »

I have been trying to get hold of a few articles that were printed in British Railway Modelling a few years ago about an OO gauge layout called Biggleswade. Does anybody have a copy they could lend me or does anybody know what issues they were printed.

Have had a look on the website but they seem not to have any back issues left for these issues. Did try and email them about 2 weeks ago but have not received any replies. Any suggestions?

Try a phone call maybe. If not try seeing if anyone is selling collections of magz from the period on auction sites

I remember this layout and I think that BRM brought out a video of it perhaps a year later-they certainly did one for' Tebay'(but that was only WCML!)and talked of doing Biggleswade as well.

Are you still looking for these? I have (almost) a full run of BRMs and can probably locate them for you.

Found the British Railway Modelling, December 1995 ( Vol 3 No 9) issue last night... (Having a sort out!)

In the layout Construction section this has the 1st part of an article giving the basics of the design, gathering local info, structures etc. It states is is a 2 part feature.... so maybe Jan 1996.

At the end of the article is states further articles appeared in BRM...Vol 1 No 11 and Vol 2 No 12..

I hope this is of help,

Regards
