Thank you for the interest in the snow plough, learnt something new, I didn't think the GNR had any big ploughs, I have seen a pic of a very worn J4 with a big snowplough bolted to the front. I might have to revisit it again one day.

Today the boiler was reunited with the cab and running-board, but still a bit of work to do. (smokebox is only Blue-tacked on)

Plus an under-view of the snowplough, you might find it useful, it has pinpoint axles and is very free running, even too free running.

I do like the look of a Stirling 0-6-0, even with an Ivatt or Gresley domed boiler. I must get around to creating one of my own, one day, but a straight-back boiler will have to feature.

That's a thought, never thought to go for one of those, I do believe one of the ones I'm building went to the scrapyard with a domeless boiler.

J4's coming along, still go some bits to fit, but I've given it a coat of paint, there's two sets of pics, two as a 'Straightback' and two as a normal domed boiler.

I've been rather quiet lately.............I've been busy, no real progress on loco's but I have built a new station, this one is fictitious, where the line curves around to the fiddle yard/London Colney/At Albans and with Edgware having a loco shed making it a Junction another small station seemed like a good idea (or not) it'll handle short trains, push pull, sentinal railcar etc.

Back to the J1, body is almost finished, and yesterday I fitted the pick ups, it took a while, but she's now a runner.

With the J1 coming to fruition, it's time to pick another loco to model, we're going back to the GC, B2 this time, I was going through the 'Green Bible's' and having a couple of Hornby B12 chassis spare ( also remembering that K's did one years ago) checking the wheel spacing's, the B12 's were miles out, so I started check other RTR loco's, the closest wheelbase, the humble Hornby 'Jinty', 2 mm out, so I re-wheeled a spare chassis, and chopping up and old Director, that I had pinched the tender from, (for the B1) This is how we are at the moment.

Humble beginnings + inexpensive scrap-box oddments + unbridled ingenuity = B2 lookalike.

I love it. Who needs custom etching?

Thank you Graeme, I'd love a B3 etched kit, but it would be beyond me, my plastic hacks keep me busy and give other people the itch....Hopefully.

If a 'Glenalmond' is a B8, yes it's on my radar, along with a few other GCR loco's either 4-4-2 or 4-6-0.

B2's coming on, the splashers have had body filler slapped over the cut marks and cleaned up, plus the cab windows have be filled with plastic card then cutout to the approximate shape of the cab cut out.

And to go off track, I've started to scratch build my first chassis, I cut it out about 40 years ago, all I've done now is drill the pilot holes for the axles.
