I like the E1, which has been overlooked by RTR and kit manufacturers.
A useful loco for nineteen twenties secondary services.

GNR's fast Mixed traffic loco, early B1 or BlackFive, quite a few pic's show them hauling long van trains.

Couple of productive days, the C12 is coming on well, bufferbeams tomorrow, down to my last set of spring loaded buffers.
Piccy time.

Looks like getting that far really didn't hurt too much. A pleasing result so far.

Thank you Graeme, been an easy build, went together so quick, surprised myself, I bolted the body to the 'Craftsman' chassis yesterday, didn't run to well, so I started to pile some weight on, lead in the bunker, underside of the tanks, underside of the boiler, she's running a lot better, taken off the bogies and couplings so I couldn't add any coaches, but I don't think a couple of Kirk's will be a problem.

G'Day Gents
The C12 has taken a bit of a back seat over the last week, as a new project has popped through the letterbox, I received a gift from a fellow modeler of the GN Jason or JCL (from RM Web) after he found out I had a Hornby 'Caly' single that I was going to make into a "Ivatt' single A5, he had a 3 D printed body, that he didn't need, so it found it's way from Canada to the UK thence onto Australia. A very big Thank you to Jason.
A couple of days, of fiddling and f*rting about, has the chassis and body as a very snug fitting unit, a bit more work is required, but we'll get there.

They're very "Ivatt" locos aren't they? Painting it ought to keep you busy for a while....

Looking good Manna, the Caley chassis is a far quicker way than I did it, I had to pretty much give up trying to get the motor and gearbox inside the loco and opted for a tender drive in the end.

G'Day Gents
Thank you Jonathan, that's the one I'll be modelling, it has'n't got the large sandboxes between the cab and the splasher, although mine will be in LNER black.

Re: Edgware GN. Building another loco, a C12
I had no idea that LNER black livery was in use on the GNR before 1915.
Go on, you know you want to finish the loco in fully lined GNR two-tone green - stylish inset corners to the panel of lines on the tender, every spoke lined black with fancy ends, red-brown frames, plus polished buffers, couplings and smokebox hardware - it'll be lovely.

if you have to avoid the GNR green livery, then at least follow things and go for the WW1 Grey livery not black, which I have no record of
it ever receiving.
Paul
it ever receiving.
