If you think this is about the youtube movie, push the back button now. 8)

I've finalised plans (I hope) and am now ready to go stock hunting.

My plan is to be a fictional station on the GCR Main Line, situated next to a river. It will be circia 1923 to 1965. My buildings are going to be Hornby or whatever I like and can afford, like maybe Thomas the Tank Engines' Maithwaite if I could find it.

Anyway, judging my plans, which include a small shunting yard and a town, what should I use for engines, coaches and wagons?

NOTE: If any intrest, I'm planning a nearby private coal mine up the line (out of view) to generate coal traffic, and the river might be fishable.
Nice N2 I've got here. Probably send it to 'The Cross'.

For passenger trains in the 1950s and early 60s, you can use A3s, V2s, B1s, A5s and D11s. For goods trains, you need ROD 2-8-0s, K3s, J11s. For shunters use N5s.

At present, you will have to build your own A5, D11, J11 and N5.

PDK Models (http://www.pdk-models.i12.com/) have a D10 and two versions of the D11 in etched brass kits. Lovely models!
