autotrain

Post by TonyM »

Hi atso
I tried the `meths `method but it did not work and I was doing too much damage to the delicate bits so I used a scalpel and scratched most of the transfers off then I gave it a coat of semi-gloss black, put on the new transfers then, when dry, gave the whole thing a coat of satin varnish. I did the same for the Dapol autocoach, I do not think it is authentic but it looks good. The tiny LNER transfers were,I discovered, each separate on the sheet, I assumed that they were one strip, so these were hard on the eyes. The clerestory coach is a Langley kit and was very difficult but it looks OK now and it is N Gauge so from a normal viewing distance looks right.
