Nice looking loco Rusty, but note that tender wheels on Green Pacifics were black, not lined green!

Good spot - Yep I realised the mistake with the wheels sometime ago, but the loco has since been sold on as I wanted to do a better job (will still be Felstead).

She was build using a SEF kit as a basis, SEF supplied all the extra bits I needed to do the corridor tender as well, the loco and tender chassis are both from Comet, the driving wheels being Markits and the bogie, trailing and tender wheels from Alan Gibson.

I have started work on the replacement, this time using a DJH kit and going on from there. I have already modified the rear tender steps to the correct type and I'll post a picture here when I get home on Friday night.

Here's 3 views of another loco an LNER D17 done some time ago, this time in 7mm.

Both models - very nice.

Anything weird or unusual will catch my interest, be it an express or locomotive

I'm also drawn to the commemorative, let's hope Bachmann will produce 6165 Valour.

I will post some pics of the replacement 'Felstead' build when I get home on Friday but in the mean time here are some shots of my 4mm C2 built from a DJH kit.

It's a combination of Bow pens, a bob moore lining pen and hmrs/Fox/woodhead transfers depending on the scale and application.

The Black C2 was all done by hand using the Bob moore pen, the 7mm C2 was a combination of fox transfers and a bow pen, the wheels being done using a pair of compasses with a bow pen attchement.

Good job my eyes are ok at the moment.

Hi Rusty,

Congratulations on some top quality modelling. You've set the bar very high.

Three beautiful models posted in 3 days. How long can you keep going at that rate?

Regards,

Vernon

Actually quite a while, but a lot of the work is non LNER, I've done one or two 7mm LNER locos in BR livery and I'll sort some pics of those out over the weekend, but to keep the trend going here is a picture of a D2, built modified from a M&L kit and painted in lined black, this loco has done a run on the Gresley Beat a few years ago up in Manchester when they borrowed it to pull a milk train.

Hello again Rusty.

I like the look of the D2, another lovely model. In view of what you posted above, I'll sit back and keep watching!

Best regards,

Vernon
