Re: Rustys workbench - builds and paints
Superb Rusty, some lovely modelling /painting going on at your house.
I am glad to see that I am not the only one falling into the lined green tender wheels on the A3 trap. I am currently (read long term project) building the DJH A3 in 7mm

Re: Rustys workbench - builds and paints
I take it that all of those lovely 4mm locos are in good old OO gauge, given the D2 guest appearance on Gresley Beat? They certainly are VERY nice, and some highly appropriate types for my modelling tastes too, particularly the C2 which I suppose I ought to have modelled too but haven't yet tackled. If you do ever grow tired of them, just place them very gently, well wrapped, in my bin and I'll fish them out for further use!
Most subjects, models and techniques covered in this thread are now listed in various categories on page1

Re: Rustys workbench - builds and paints
Yep all OO, I have built a Proscale LNWR 0-6-2 in EM before but not as rule unless asked to do so as a commision.

As a change, here is a D43 BG, built using Bill Bedford sides and MJT solebars etc, fox 8' bogies use Blacksmiths sides.
Must get my lighting better

Re: Rustys workbench - builds and paints
Ok, here is the first LNER Loco I did
Built from a Millholme kit it is a GC N4/5, I would use a much small motor now and add the cab detail but hey you have to start somewhere
Funny how the funnel looks wrong here but it is the camera doing it, I checked

Still a very nice tidy job and a crew leaning out of the cab can conceal a multitude of sins (or a large flywheel).

Re: Rustys workbench - builds and paints
Ok, how about a K2, in lined black, 4mm again.
Must crack on I have a 7mm Fairburn 2-6-4 tank to finish in BR lined Black.

Ay up, RN!
I love the very subtle wearthering.
Will you be sharing your secrets?
And, like the N4, it looks like 7mm. Genius!
