Your work is excellent!
Do I detect however, some photographic distortion? The locomotive has a "curved" air to it, which I am sure is not a feature of the actual model!

There is a very slight bow but the camera as you said makes it worse, I left the main body of the loco as it had been built, just finished it off as a reminder of him.

Re: Rustys workbench - builds and paints
I tend to use a combination of transfers and hand lining now in both 4mm and 7mm, not entirely sure my hands are that steady anymore

Curved Air was a UK prog rock band (c1970) featuring Sonia Kristina. While the BR Standard IV Tank looks lovely it could never compare to Sonia. I don't think adolescent dreams ever go away..............2002EarlMarischal wrote:Your work is excellent!

I've heard of thread creep but I'm afraid my diversion was rather extreme. I usually just look at Rusty's excellent models with envy so I don't know how this happened.

Re: Rustys workbench - builds and paints
It's been a while as I've had to do some real work but here are some more wagons I've had a go at.
A Pair of ex GN 6 planks by D&S
And an ABS 20T hopper

Re: Rustys workbench - builds and paints
Not had a chance to do much of my own stuff recently but here is an horsebox which I originally did in LMS livery but I have sold it to someone who wanted in its original HR livery.

Re: Rustys workbench - builds and paints
Here is the latest Gresley coach for my Scotsman rake, this one is a Dia8 Locker composite.
The Dia7 composite is my next project, then another of each
I have my original super detailed Kirks a Brake Third and all third to replace as well as the Triple restaurant car.

Lovely work.

Re: Rustys workbench - builds and paints
The Horsebox is an old Microscale kit (LMS livery is earlier in the post) which I believe David Geen now has, the coach is mainly MJT with Bill Bedford sides.

Re: Rustys workbench - builds and paints
How was Ilkeston connected to the LNER? was it via the former GCR or the former GNR line to Derby? ive always thought of Ilkeston being slap in the middle of Midland territory.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.
