I think you're being overly critical.

The builder has done an excellent job of carving this from a solid piece of old pine.

Well done. If it was the one listed on fleabay, I too was watching it and thought it would go for more than gbp70, so held off putting in a bid.

aaah, you were watching the one i was in the not too distant past? Silly money. Pity i need one of these for a bit of colour, I'm begrudging the cost now though. I shall just have to look to its 1949 replacement instead.

I wanted to see what that one would make. I missed the original issue at £75, but picked up one on eBay for £68. This latest one, however, was sheer madness and makes that kit almost too valuable to be built.
