Duly enjoyed. The boy on the platform could have been me - except for the fact that Hatfield, WGC and Welwyn North were my stamping ground at that time.

G'day Gents

Nice to see a couple of colour pic at Wood Green, the one thing I did notice..........it's getting a coat of 'Paint' bit of 'red lead' splashed about, and nice new grey paint, except over the running lines, as usual, 'Black' with soot.

Funny I thought that Wood Green Up Box no.4 had always been painted in a all over 'off white' colour (except the roof) from when I first saw the box in the summer of 1967 I never knew it had been painted in a green & cream colour scheme prior to 1967?.
