Railway cartoons

Post by Cuddie Headrigg »

Sorry if I have posted this in the past, but have just done another version of the artwork on the platelayers cabin at Rely Mill Junction taken in 1967. https://ironroad.smugmug.com/1960s-Stea ... -TNPT6d4/A Don't know when it dates from, though.

Hi all
I remember seeing this art when passing. The rumour was that it was a Consett fireman was responsible.

Thank you for the cartoons, and the rest of your NE pictures. I live near Relly Mill. Even the three-arch stone bridge is gone now, but the western abutment has been made into a nice little viewing area. Now if only we can persuade someone to keep the line-side vegetation trimmed......!
