Post WW2 Bucket Dredgers on River Humber

Post by Mickshep »

Hi all. I am researching my Maternal Grandfather, Wilfred Tunnicliffe who worked an LNER bucket dredger on the Humber from just after WW2 up until the early 1960s I believe. Known to his friends as Tunnifish. His Dredger apparently took out part of one of the Paddle Steamer ferry jetties. There was once a photograph of him taken on the bridge of a dredger in a local paper but up to now I have had no luck finding it. Can anyone on here help? Kind regards. Mike.
