LNER Handlamp query

I have an LNER 2 aspect handlamp ( stamped LNER on one side of the body, and LOCO DEPT ) on the other. On the top of the lamp is a plate labelled Kerosene and the paraffin reservoir also has a plate labelled kerosene on the top of it. I just wondered if this is typical of an LNER lamp or whether this is a "hybrid" of bits ! Any advice would be much appreciated thank you
