The Peases Lie

Post by 52D »

On the ECML there were a number of goods only sidings, i am interested in finding more about the Peases Lie between Berwick and Edinburgh in Particular a track plan/signal diagram to see if it is a good candidate for a shunting puzzle layout. I already have a location in mind on the Alnwick & Cornhill at Kilham sidings but if Peases looks interesting ehough it will give me scope to run a lot more variety on the main line circa 1937.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.

the national library of scotland has a full set of early os maps. The track plan is clearly shown on the 25inch maps and the original building is still there, can be seen clearly on google street view
