Thompson L1 departing KX

A Thompson L1 no.67784 departing 'the cross' bunker first and heading out onto the Down Main line No.2 (the Down slow roller blind route indicator is already off for the Down slow line for another train) and possibly bound for Baldock or Royston on the Hitchin-Cambridge branch.

Beautiful picture capturing the atmosphere of the time. Where was it taken from? - looks like top of a tender.

The photograph is a close up of another photograph of the same scene that shows slightly more in the other photograph anyway I assume that the photographer took the photograph from above Gasworks tunnel kudu to the left of the Down slow line tunnel bore as you would look towards Gasworks tunnel if you was standing on the end of no.10 platform.
