LNER Summary of trains former GER nomenclature

Post by ColHut »

G'day,

just trying to decipher the above 1934/1938 documents. Most is obvious, however some trains are described as 'Trks', presumably short for trucks.

Usually they are Class B sometimes Class C.

This as opposed to Braked Goods, Goods, Coal etc.

Is 'Trks' a reference to Covered Vans? to CCT? to Cattle trucks or some other?

I have got all the cans, just missing the plastic thingy that holds them all together...

regards

I seem to recall that Gerry Fiennes mentioned that on the GE, empty coal trains were called 'truck trains'
