Can anyone say:

1. What engine type would have hauled the train as far as Norwich?

2. What engine type would have hauled it on from Norwich?

3. What the coach stock might have been?

(see Arthur Ransome's "Coot Club"!)

The locomotive would most likely have been a claud hamilton as these were now redundant from many express duties due to the B17 and B12/3. Their low weight would have made them suitable to run all the way to Cromer if needed. There is potential that a B12 was used but this is unlikely as they would have been running on the expresses to Norwich and Cambridge anyway so the Hamiltons would have been less busy and more likely to have been freed up for special workings.

The coach stock i'm less sure about, probably ex GER mainline corridor or Gresley 52ft corridor. I'm not totally sure and have no books on Coaches.
