Plough 18 / 900572 which is my plough and is at Pickering, was as far as I know always based in the Darlington area. With reports of allocations to Shildon, Bishop Auckland + Waskerley.
It was usually paired with No 20 / 900574 The Snowplough at Beamish museum.
From records I have managed to gather 10 / 900564 + 19 / 900573 were allocated to Tweedmouth 1935 - 39
19 was the 3rd member of the batch built at York in 1909 which included 18 + 20
Is there any reason you ask?
As I am always looking for information, sightings and photos of any ploughs. Especially the NER built ploughs.

There is another book with photos in and also of continental methods.
"Railway Snowfighting equipment and methods" by G Richard Parkes.
Again no ISBN and it is self published. Try a book search website.
2 versions around 1 the full book at 95 pages and the other is a shorter extract of when given as talks but includes Q + A sessions.

Hi
I just thought that the plough looked familiar. If its not a rude question what did you pay for the plough i ask this as for years two vehicles that were strong candidates for preservation languished in Tweedmouth yard with not to be moved signs on them. These should have been purchased for preservation. The first was an LNER fish van with NE still visible on the sides, the second was an LNER sulphuric acid tank. I photographed them both but have lost the pics.
