C A Cass Hull Paragon 1935

Post by Felixofstow58 »

As an avid collector of railway relics throughout my life and with a particular preference for the LNER, I have just had a presentation Art Deco mantle clock given to me by a friend. The attached plate reads: Presented to C A Cass as a mark of esteem by The Hull Paragon Station staff on his transfer to Leeds June 1935. I wonder if anyone could shed any light on who this gentleman was and what his position was at the Station. It is quite a grand mantle clock leading me to think that he was probably fairly senior.

There is mention of a G A Cass moving from Station Foreman, Leeds to be Station Inspector Hull Paragon in the June 1932 issue of the LNER Magazine.
