Hitchin Drivers John Seymour & Ernest Pangbourne Seymour

Post by Jaydub »

Bit of a long shot here but I'm trying to do a bit of low-key research into my great-great grandfather John Seymour & great grandfather Ernest Pangbourne Seymour. They were both Drivers at Hitchin on the GNR/LNER and all I know is that they were both NUR men as opposed to Aslef & Ernest either retired or died in service during LNER days in about 1937ish.
Anyone got any pointers as to how to research further.
Cheers

First time I've had a look round the site this year it seems ! TIME, TIME, TIME.

I'm a Hitchin inhabitant and will ask around the RCTS, we have some local 'oldtimers', but will be away til middle next week.

Good luck with your researches.

Hello Jaydub. I expect you have checked the 1911 census online, and the ones before? I found Ernest Pangbourne Seymour, Railway Engine Driver of Hitchin, very easily.
