After 75 years a name to the face

Post by silverfox »

I would imagine eevryone has seen the pic of Driver Duddington, Fireman Bray, Inspector Jenkins taken after Mallards record run. But who was the guard?

Well just got issue 161 of the Gresley Observer and following the recent York fest, his daughter contacted the NRM to advise he was Henry Croucher, a KX goods guard. He died in 1975 aged 87
