Looking info on LNER Guards: Joseph Amos & John Wilkinson

Post by stepwilk »

I am trying to find out my Grandfathers work numbers ? They were both guards on LNER, ! passenger,1 goods. I believe Joseph Amos Chance worked out of Staveley and John Wilkinson worked out of Chesterfield Central. Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated. Yours Steve Wilkinson.

Interesting, do you know when they entered railway service. Chesterfield at one time had 3 stations Midland, Central and Market Place a good railway town.
Hi interested in the area served by 52D. also researching colliery wagonways from same area.
