Access to secure sites

Post by Kestrel »

Is anyone having trouble getting access to secure sites (https), including this one, using Internet Explorer 11?

Whilst I can access this site via Google Chrome or Firefox, I need IE11 to access Sky Go but it just won't work any more. Sky Go has dropped Chrome and Firefox and only works with IE11.

Using IE11, I can't access anything that begins with https. I've gone into Google and looked for possible remedies, tried them all but it still doesn't work.

I uninstalled IE11 and it went back to IE8 but that's too old for Sky Go. I tried to find IE10 but couldn't.

Are there any computer geniuses on here that might be able to help?

Thanks in advance

It works perfectly for me in IE11, although that isn't my usual browser.

You don't say what response you are getting when trying to access sites, but I would suggest you clear your browser cache, and also your DNS records (ipconfig /flushdns from Command Prompt) and see if that helps. Also perhaps consider using another DNS server.
