Sorry to hear that FF. I hope no-one else gets a similar 'present'. Maybe this might help make you feel a little better?

What a thoughtless bunch, never good at the best of times but right on Xmas is a bit of a bummer.
Hope you get sorted soon FF, all the best anyway for what its worth.

Yes, it's tough to lose one's job at the best of times, and Christmas is certainly not the best of times. Makes me thankful to have spent all my working life in the years when employment was more secure and to be a SC now. I hope next year brings better fortune for you.

A seasonal pic at my local steam railway taken last weekend. The loco is 9F 92212.

FF - Can I add to the best wishes of those above. It brings back painful memories for me. I lost my job, out of the blue, many years ago when I was 22. I was lucky in that I was still living at home but at that age didn't cope with the emotional aspects too well. It's easy to say but you just have to 'keep b*ggering on'; writing letters, taking interviews and the inevitable knock backs when the people who interview you don't have the decency to write you a letter to tell you you've been unsuccessful. Good luck and best wishes.

Yes, a little (less than 5 mins.?) late with adding my own Happy Christmas and best vishes for an excellent, all-things-LNER/ER, New Year to all our reeders.
And I'm most definitely only just hanging on near the rear guard's brake of the train that's wishing FF good fortune in his endeavours for new work, but nevertheless, sincere good wishes to you.
