Post by Tom Quayle »

I am currently planning my groups DofE experdition and the plan is to go from Ingleton to Appleby via, Inglebough, Blea Moor, Dentdale, Garsdale, Wildboar and Mallerstang. I hope we get to Ribblehead at an interesting time of day lol. Should be good we arrive at the southern most tip of Appleby and Pub crawl to the Station meet the other group at Carlisle and drink Carlisle dry. I hope owr instructor brings a thick wallet.

There are good views of Ribblehead from all three of the Three Peaks. Actually, the Three Peaks route circles Ribblehead, so it is almost always in view.

There's a good brewery in Dentdale - spent a couple of weeks in Dent on a geology field trip, long ago.

Pubs? Duke of Edinburgh Award? Doesn't that imply under age drinking? (you might want to avoid being so public about it...)
