Best places to stay near preserved railways

Post by Tom Quayle »

I have visited nearly all the preserved railways in the north west and have stayed in some good and bad places. The campsite at Goathland is good and Iver heard good things about the railway tavern in Grosmont too. Does anyone know of any good places in the area round the IOM steam system? as I am going over for the rally and would like to visit the railway during the week. I would prefer the Port Erin end then I can get the train into Douglas not the bus
