Nothing serious, I hope, CVR 1865?

To answer your question, if there was an Olympic event for sleeping, JimJim would be gold medal material, especially with some f the ol' anaesthetic still in her system.

More news

Post by Blink Bonny »

Jim-Jim went back to the Vet yesterday for a check up and its more good news. The stitches and staples are still in. If the light catches her just right it looks like she has a zip fastener on her tummy! Back next week for those out.

Not quite home and dry yet because there is an outside chance of infection when the stitched are removed.

She is being very spoiled right now but that's what you do with a poorly cat, isn't it? We are also spoiling her sister who is very happy.

Gald to hear, and of course one can only spoil a cat when they are ill, scared or just being endering.
I was trying to find a picture of the cat sleeping on the track, doing a good impression of a railway sleeper (pun intended) I shall look on the fash drives....

Hi Blink Bonny,
lets keep our fingers crossed that there is no infection and we get a happy ending to what started as a very sad story.
Good Luck to you all.
Best Wishes,Guy.

She is almost back to normal now.

So far today Jim-Jim has been seen on the extension roof, doing her Blondin impersonation along the fence and knocking 10 bells out of some poor, unsuspecting leaf after leaping upon from a great height, not to mention beating her twin sister up several times.

She's also had two of her stitches out. You know, the wire looks just right for lamp brackets in OO guage. Back to the Vet Tuesday, hopefully for the rest of them removed provided Jim-Jim doesn't get there first...

And so to bed...

Post by Blink Bonny »

The final visit to the Vet this afternoon. The Vet removed the remaining staples (the little divvil had removed 7 of 'em, leaving three more to be found!) and had a good look at his handiwork. The actual stitches were dissolvable and the staples held a little ruckle of flesh over them to stop her removing them herself. He is very happy with her recovery and all we are now waiting for is the fur to grow back.

She has had both front legs shaved, one for a drip and one for the socket effort for injections. This makes it look like she's wearing a pair of those very trendy Ugg boots!

All's well that ends well.

And as for the -beep- with the air gun? Strange thing - only one air gun report since it happened and that was followed by the sound of a woman playing holy steam with the shootist. So maybe he's got his just reward as well.

Jim-Jim =^..^=

and

Rosie =(^..^)=

I'm also pleased that things seem to be working out OK for jim-jim. I understand how worrying it can be when a pet is ill or injured.

G'Day Gents

Great to hear your cats better, hate stories about animals being hurt for no reason :x

And while we are on the subject of cats! yesterday I went to my local model shop (200ks away) and behind the counter there IS a cat curled up fast asleep, in all the times that I've been there I've never seen it move? except for it's breathing, I even said the the guy serving me, that I've never seen it move, he replied that it only moves to the food bowl when it's time to knock off for the day, and then goes out all night, tarting about !!!!!!!! :)

This sounds very much like JimJim's sister and litter twin, Rosie.

Rosie's day is like this:

1. Wake up, go upstairs and wake up Mummy and Unka Nige.

2. Leave bedroom on appearance of JJ

3. Eat brekkie, provided (usually) by Mummy

4. Leave kitchen on appearance of JJ

5. Restorative sleep on Unka Nige's bed - on Unka Nige if she can get away with it

6. Eat 2nd brekkie, provided (usually) by Unka

7. Restorative sleep

8. Early elevenses....

and so on and so forth until:

Night's sleep (punctuated with requests for something to stave off night starvation)
