Hitachi Class 800

Post by Kestrel »

I'm watching the Yesterday channel where Alleyis Heavy Hauliers are carrying an Hitachi train from the docks in the NE by road to Doncaster. Sir Nigel must be rolling over in his grave at the thought of it.

What was weird was the fact that they were taking units from Teesport to Doncaster. Then they show the Hitachi assembly plant at Newton Aycliffe. Were they the units delivered before the new plant opened as I thought body shells were coming in and being sent to Aycliffe for fitting out.
