Are they expecting an attack of Red Indians :D a very strange photo, looks like there are large puddles of oil as wellon the ground. Its too uniform a circle to be a crash scene. Very strange.

If I had to take a wild guess, I'd say that we're looking at the aftermath of the 1953 flood, probably somewhere in the Canvey Island area.
