only mainline cabride I have had was on a DMU between Barrow and Dalton. Staff at Ulverston a bit pickey you see lol

Only non-steam mainline cab rides I've had are the 37 Sleeper from Fort William to Rannoch and 158 Machynnleth to Pwllheli on the Cambrian. Not quite as exciting as going over Ais Gill on a Black 5

Im surprised no one has suggested a cab ride over the east coast main line in Scotsman, Blue Peter, or one of the many A4's, or even Tornado for the future or maybe a B1?

Another one that could come to light and be interesting is the New Clan 72010 over settle carlisle
I think no one suggested LNER designs because we all want to do that anyway. As for scotsman at the moment the way the NRM is talking you might as well say Olton Hall.
Flying Scotsman is the NRMs 'midcard comerdy act'.

the Clan would be a nice choice, not many people seem to like Clans that much, either that or they just dont speak about them, is her name to be just Heingest (spelling) or Clan Heingest?

Don't know the name just that it will be 72010 and proberbly carry a 12A or 65A headcode representing Kingmoor and Eastfeild respecifly

"Hengist" was one of the names allocated to the cancelled Southern Region batch of BR Standard "Clan" pacifics. These were to have been:

72010 Hengist
72011 Horsa
72012 Canute
72013 Wildfire
72014 Firebrand

explains the lack of "Clan" in the name, i would of prefered Wildfire,but as Hengist was next in line it does make alot of sense to why the new build has that name,

given me an idea to create 72010 -014 in MSTS form.

When I was about 5 years old I got a cab ride on 80135 from Platform 4 into Platform 2. My Dad accompanied me on the footplate (and before I get shouted at.. He used to work on the NYMR).
