HaHa! Me, neither. I'd be quicker on the draw with the 4lb hammer than ol' BB, though.manna wrote:G'day Gents

Ay up!
No one NO ONE, is quicker than me with the ol' 4lb hammer.
Good news new tablets seem to be kicking in so starting to get my hand back in. Just been to North Wales and collected some LNER teak subs which I built many years ago now and it is a little depressing to see how well I lined them! Practice, dear boy, practice. And the new tablets. Anyway, I shall be weathering some wagons, those vans look much, much too clean.
I'll post a pic of those old subs when I next set up Mole End although the good Lord only knows when that is likely to be!
Hanging on in there, as always.
Play nicely......

Re: Returning to the fold.....
Ay up!
The shakes seem to be coming under control so I decided to have a run at renaming my class 40. So far so good although I did not know that the flag transfers were separate items! So they'll be on the next order.
All has seemed to go well.
Will post pics once I have applied the number transfers.

Looks like I'm the only one who can be bothered to welcome you back BB....
Before people get upset or accuse me of harshness, can I emphasize that I have engaged "light hearted irony mode".

That truly is an 'inconvenience'. Likewise I have some of my teenage efforts, and what I could do them, I cannot do now. Boo.

I was aware, but decided my 'robust' messages of good cheer and encouragement were best conducted offthread...

Re: Returning to the fold.....
Ay up!
All messages gratefully received. I've had really bad shakes most of the last 12 months and the Dr has been lost as to why. There we were, thinking Parkinson's or possibly Carpal Tunnel Syndrome getting serious when she decided to check for Vit D. It was off the scale. The bottom of the scale. So taking Vit D supplements.
I'be been able to work on the old bus (oil and filter change) but, as yet, little of small scale work. To try and get back into things. I've been weathering a few vans and now working on some more Triang Thompsons. The easy bit is done. Spray painting the sides and chopping up old Triang interiors to fit. Now the hard part comes, painting the interiors.
I'll keep you posted.
BB
PS - maybe I should read a thread on here. What was it now? Oh yes! Back to Basics with BB!!!!!

Re: Returning to the fold.....
Ay up!
Maybe I should stick to model railways.
The car has needed a new fuel filter for a few days so I decided to get busy on that today. At which point I found that previous heinous bodgery had left the present filter housing unserviceable and indeed managed to squirt a jet of diesel fuel some 8 feet!
I said "Oh dear, how tiresome." Now awaiting a bashing from the Wallet which I can't see at the moment. This worries me......
