NYMR have announced the first two visiting locomotives of the 2006 calendar. They are:
GWR 4-4-0 'City Of Truro' from 24th April - 22nd May
LNWR 0-8-0 G2 'Super D' from 1st May - 21st July.
Both are expected to be at the spring steam gala, so that will be an exciting weekend. I am looking forward to it, hope to see many of you there.

I know last railtour I went to see was 45407 over copy pit arguably the most reliable engine in preservation. Proves a point about the Riddles version but there both exelant shame that we cannot get a pair double headed on the North bound summit Conferance lol

I know the times are up on www.uksteam.info and Ill be going to Hebden Bridge station and sending my dad to the summit this time as I did the summit with 45407.

Been there done that and 71000 in a day at the ELR last year my target is 60007 and I employ my 'this is my hopefull face ' ploy it worked to cab the S15

Nah just in the cab I got a breif ride on 825 it was running from platfrom 2 at grosmont onto a train in platform 1, most exiting 5 mintues of the weekend. If GCR event gos well I could add a 9f to the list lol

I was in the cab of Duchess of Sutherland last year on York Station, just after it worked York-Leeds-Carlisle-Leeds-York. My first go in a cab of a 'Live' Loco, and my God, was it warm in there!
Just wish it'd been moving really..over Ribblehead!
